What Should You Take If You Are Travelling Long Haul

Those who will be heading off on a long haul plane journey soon might be wondering what kinds of things they should be taking with them. The in-flight entertainment can often be a little bit disappointing meaning that you can find yourself getting quite bored. Here are a few ideas to help you make it through the trip.

 

- An iPad or iPhone. These devices are the perfect accessory to take on a long trip. There are just so many useful applications and some of these are perfect for travelling. While you are on the plane you can use some of these applications to learn the language spoken in the country you are visiting or to make plans for what you will do while there. If you want help on what to do and where to go there are some fantastic downloadable guides and Google maps will help you get directions and locate certain places. And if you want the time to pass quicker then you can play some of the great games. My only moan about these devices is the length of the battery life so what I would recommend is that you take a charger with you.

 

- An eBook reader is a great thing to take. If you have an iPad then this will be included but otherwise you might want to purchase an eReader. I never really know what book I want to read until I am ready to start reading. An eBook reader however, can store hundreds of books so you will always have something on hand that you want to read.

 

- A travel neck pillow. Although they are not superb they are better than not having a pillow. When I don’t have this with me on my travels I really miss it because it enables me to get a few hours sleep at least.

 

- A Relaxation/Meditation Recording. You can put these onto your iPod and you will be amazed at how quickly the times passes when you are relaxed. I always feel very relaxed for hours after listening to one of these recordings.
