Alexander Lunev is actually a rising star of the music business and is one of today’s most gifted, versatile and consistent hit composers. Highly regarded as a composer of tremendous talents and variations, Alexander Lunev captured the imagination of the world by working together with award winning Russian pop star “Five Stars” along with Dima Koldun.

Only recently, Alexander wrote a brilliant song entitled “Lilac Flowers” for the super Russian pop-diva Sofia Rotaru, and an additional song for a tremendously skilled and world-renown Russian singer, the dashing and sexy Nicolai Baskov.

Having rocked the Russian music business in 2006 when he received the “Best Russian Act” nomination for Regional Music Awards at MTV’s thirteenth annual European Music Awards held in Copenhagen on November 2, 2006, Alexander Lunev is certainly going strength-to-strength in challenging his own high standards of music.

Lunev’s tune “Never Let You Go” was brilliantly presented by Dima at the Euro Vision 2006 and became a runaway hit. The song was presented with MTV Russian Music Awards 2006 Best Arrangement.

Alexander’s composition skills has taken him places. His music have been performed at locations like the Los Angeles historic Wilshire Ebell Concert Hall, at San Francisco’s pride Palace of Fine Arts, other than New York and Miami.

Alexander is also engaged in composing music for films. The Russian movie “Frenchman” consists of Lunev’s two masterful compositions. Alex has shown tremendous desire for diversifying his music vision by writing as well as producing the rock-opera “Prodigal Son”, based on classical evangelic texts.

After remaining unsigned with any major recording label in his initial months of glory, Alex established his own production company in June 2007. Aptly named, ‘Columbus’, Lunev’s new venture signed Dima Koldun of Euro vision ‘07.

Dima, the 22 year old from Belarus, was a nominee for MTV’s Russian Music Awards 2007, apart from finishing at sixth place in Euro vision ‘07. Dima just recently recorded Lunev’s song “I am for you”, which happens to be already creating waves amongst music enthusiasts.

Alex’s capabilities got a special recognition from the coordinators of “Five Stars”. This esteemed Russian music contest was held in the city of Sochi on September 5 - 8 2007. Lunev was among the five judges to pick the winner that will declare the opening of the Winter Olympic Games at Sochi in 2014.

This contest offers an excellent opportunity to the participants to display their musical talent that has remained untapped so far. The contest also functions as a fishing pond for the best producers, record labels, agents and media, including Channel 1, MTV, Europe +, and Russian Radio.

The depth of Lunev’s compositions has made him an instant hit among all age groups of people. However, teens and youth have lapped up new-wave music with both hands.

Alexander Lunev is not yet satisfied with his achievements. He would like to compose music that everyone can enjoy for a long time to come. And taking into consideration his oozing potential, the “ageless” music is not something beyond Lunev’s capabilities.
